Lauryn Edwards
Chapter President

"Hello! My name is Lauryn Edwards, and I am honored to be serving as the president of Alpha Epsilon Phi, Beta Eta chapter at UCSD. For over 100 years, Alpha Epsilon Phi has strongly upheld the values of sisterhood, service, scholarship, and growth, which I am proud to continue with my sisters today.

Our sorority was founded in 1909 by seven Jewish women who were not allowed to join other sororities due to their religion. This founding inspired a diverse and welcoming legacy in which we, 109 years later, are the second national sorority to have a policy allowing us to extend membership to anyone identifying as a woman, cisgender or otherwise.

The women who take part in this sisterhood are the risk takers and change makers of today and tomorrow, and these empowered sisters create positive change wherever they find their place: be it on the big screen, NASA, or even on the Supreme court.

Above all else, Alpha Epsilon Phi connects women from across the world to treasure the past while striving towards the future. I am proud to represent both this sorority and chapter, and I invite you to browse through our website to learn more about the women who make me proud to be an AEPhi."
